In recent years a lot of artists, curators and filmmakers have been making efforts to redress the curious lack of exposure Tomi has had in the United States since his self imposed exile from the land of opportunity in the early 1970s. This week we talked to a man responsible for bringing Tomi’s work to a whole new audience, Brad Bernstein, director of the acclaimed documentary Far Out Isn’t Far Enough: The Tomi Ungerer Story.
