Moon Man

Moon Man is a beautiful and timeless children’s classic. It is a gentle satire that tells of the adventures of the Moon Man, who leaves his “shimmering seat in space,” catches the “fiery tail” of a passing comet, and lands on earth to sample the activities that he has longingly observed from above.

Moon Man has been translated into twelve languages since it was first published. Now re-published by Phaidon, this childrens classic is once more available in English.

Moon Man won the Book Week prize for books for children aged 4-8 when it was first published in 1967, and Maurice Sendak described it as “Easily one of the best picture books in recent years”.
